Pregnancy is challenging and can be overwhelming.  Some moms just love the whole thing, but for a single mom of any age it can be stressful and there is often less support than married moms enjoy.  This is backwards.  Our society should be holding up and encouraging all moms to protect, love and do right for their unborn children.  Abortion has become the fix all to unwanted or surprise babies - which leaves emotional and spiritual scars that many mothers never recover from.  If you're pregnant, you're already a mother.  It doesn't matter if you 16 or 25 or 32, you're a mother...and there are great rewards to this, but there are also huge choices to be made.  How you handle this will define much of your future life.  As a doula I'm much more interested in helping you through pregnancy and birth and on into parenting than I am with how you got where you are.  It is really about what you'll do now.  Now is really all we can work with.  I am glad to work within your financial needs and still provide the best care.  I do not take insurance but I am willing to work within your budget and to do barter in most cases as well.  If you're choosing adoption there can be a big hole in your heart from that true loss, grief and hurt.  It only makes sense to have the active support of a birth professional who can walk you through the process and help you find the resources you might need.  Let me help.  Please know that God loves you and your baby and what may seem like an impossible situation right now is still something God can make into a blessing on countless levels.  Trust Him.  Perhaps you were born for such a time as this.  This time in your life will pass and the stress and worry will too.  As a doula for the past 20+ years I've given support to many young moms and single moms - for many reasons.  I know what I'm talking about.
